welcome to the portfolio of Peter Charles Turner
i am a self taught artist and photographer. i first started creating
images when i was 7 years old which seems an age ago as i am
now 34. i have always learned by trial and error and to this day
still believe that experimentation is far better than learning using a
manual on a course that teaches several things one would not need.
i tend to concentrate more on my photography these days but i still have a deep passion for art. my main choice of tool for creating my images is adobe photoshop CS3 which i couldn't be without.
when the opportunity arises i want to learn the techniques of traditional painting using oi, acrylic and water colours as i havn't had the opportunity so far. the nearest i get at the moment is using corel painter =)
i used to use a minolta dynax 500si super when i was still
using film but now digital camera's are such incredible quality. now i use a canon eos 350D and 400D and two main lenses which
are the sigma EX 105mm f2.8 macro DG and the EX 28-300mm f3.5 DG.
as soon as i turn pro and am earning pro money, i want to purchase canon eos 1Ds mk III (or whatvever it is by then) a medium format camera with digital and film backs and i look forward to the time when i can set up a studio full of great equipment such as lighting etc and a team of great people to assist. the day will come when i am the pro artist i dream to be and i believe i have the talent, skills and ability to make it so.
